Please Note: All members of the Olathe Area Youth Symphony are to use the 400 hall entrance, located on the west side of Olathe South High School, to enter and exit the building. The Olathe Area Youth Symphony rehearses only once a week. These rehearsals are vital to the overall success of the OAYSA orchestra program and each member is expected to attend all rehearsals and concerts as well as practice their part during the week. Please avoid scheduling conflicts with rehearsal times. The orchestra member should make the Olathe Youth Symphony a top priority when planning for homework, employment, and other activities.

If a member needs to miss a rehearsal due to illness or a conflict with a school sponsored performance you must contact one of the following directors to communicate the absence in advance.

Members of the Philharmonic Orchestra should contact Ms. McDermott at lmcdermott@olatheyouthsymphony.org or call 239-5536.

When you call, give your name, the student’s name and the instrument they play in the orchestra. Please include the reason for the absence and which orchestra the student participates in. Thank you, OAYSA Staff
